چکیده

Escherichia coli bacteria that are resistant to β-lactam antibiotics and may be able produce Extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBLs) have been found in the reproductive tract of Bali cattle. ESBL will cause antimicrobial resistance (AMR) which has become a global health problem. The purpose this study was detect phenotypically presence produces from This research conducted February 2022 Lando Village, Terara District, East Lombok Regency using 8 female cattle on smallholder farms. Reproductive fluid samples were collected plastic sheet gun inserted into Brain Infusion Heart (BHI) media incubated at Public Health Calibration Laboratory West Nusa Tenggara Province. then cultured EMBA for isolation coli. isolated identified by gram staining biochemical tests based Bergey's manual determinative bacteriology. screened disc diffusion method Penicillin G10U, Ceftazidime 30 μg, Cefotaxime μg followed confirmation test double disk synergy (DDST) method. results screening showed only 12.5% (1 out samples) G, but they had not detected phenotypically.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are a stern public health problem and are caused by a wide range of pathogens, but most frequently by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Enterococcus faecalis and Staphylococcus saprophyticus. High frequency rates and increasing antimicrobial resistance among uropathogens threaten to greatly raise the economic load of these infections. Fe...

TEM- or SHV-type extended-spectrum beta-lactamases(ESBLs) are of clinical concern in Europe and the United States, whereas bacterial strains producing such types of ESBLs had not been reported in Japan for many years. Toho-1, a different type class A ESBL, has been reported in 1995, in which any prototypical enzyme has not been identified so far. At present Toho-1 is the major ESBL in Japan, ho...

Objective(s) Extensive use of quinolones has been associated with raising level of resistance. In the current, we focused on assessing the prevalence of Escherichia coli resistance to quinolones and frequency of qnrA, qnrB and qnrS in non ESBLs (extended spectrum beta-lactamases) and ESBLs producing E. coli with blaSHV and blaTEM. Materials and Methods One hundred and fifty E. coli isolates ...

background escherichia coli (e. coli) species are able to produce extended-spectrum β-lactamases (esbls) that cause high resistance to the beta-lactam antibiotics. therefore, determining the antibiotic susceptibility patterns in resistant organisms is necessary for suitable therapeutic approaches. patients and methods totally, 260 clinical isolates of e. coli were collected from hospitals in te...

UNLABELLED The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of ESBL-producing Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae as well as genes encoding ESBLs. MATERIAL AND METHODS A total of 1207 non-repeat isolates of E. coli and K. pneumoniae were obtained from urine, tracheal aspirate, wound swab and blood from patients hospitalized at the University Clinics in Skopje. ESBL set and E-test ...
